Some achievements are seen on the stage. Very few people see everything that happened before that moment.

Before Peter Adebiyi stood before an audience to present his research, there were drafts to review, ideas to refine, questions to answer, and moments that required patience and persistence.

Like many young researchers, Peter recognised an opportunity to contribute to healthcare through research. What he needed was the right guidance to help transform that opportunity into meaningful work.

That journey led him to Nursiscope.

Peter's research, "Feasibility and Usability of an AI-Enabled Mobile Health Prototype for Self-Management Among Sickle Cell Patients: A Preliminary Pilot Study," explored how digital health solutions can support people living with sickle cell disease in managing their health more effectively.

Throughout the research journey, he received mentorship that strengthened both the study and his confidence as a researcher. His abstract was reviewed, the research refined, and his presentation carefully prepared before the conference.

The result was more than a successful presentation.

Peter's work received the Overall Best Oral Presentation Award among 130 accepted abstracts, an achievement that reflected months of learning, preparation, and commitment.

Looking back on the experience, Peter shared these words:

"It's a thing to recognise an opportunity, but it takes mentorship to harness it."

That single sentence captures what this journey represents.

Talent matters. Hard work matters. But having people who challenge you, guide you, and believe in your potential can make all the difference.
